Dear Debbie,
It is with great sorrow that I write this. Dan was a great guy. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was a true asset to Lorillard and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Our prayers are with you. Stay close to those grandchildren as they will make life worthwhile.
With our love,
Rudy and Elaine

McIntyre family,
Danny was my dear cousin. I will always fondly remember my childhood family reunions at his parents’ house. So very sad to learn of his passing. Much love and sympathy.

My deepest sympathies to all who loved Dan. What a wonderful man he was. I haven't seen him for years, last time at a high reunion. I met his lovely wife there and walked away thinking what a perfect couple they were. Dan & I were such good friends in school that we went to senior prom together. RIP Dan.

Dan was my youngest brother – my friend – and one of the best people I’ve ever known. “Dan The Man” was the guy who casually took charge – took care of people – and got things done. He was the guy who said “Why not? Let’s try.” And usually was successful.
