Arbegast, Jr., whom she married on September 25, 1943, and who died on August 11, 1993.

Jean’s survivors include her two children: Murray F. Arbegast and his wife, Pauline, of Berwick, Bonnie J. Morrow and her husband, Jim, of Mechanicsburg; her six grandchildren: Bill, Tammy, Kimberly, Brian, Willy, Tyke; her 16 great-grandchildren; her two sisters: Maxine Rhoads of Mechanicsburg, Justine Beil and her husband, Bob, of East Berlin; and several nieces and nephews.

Jean was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg, where she was very active in both the church and Sunday school.  She was a member of the Friendly Circle Class. She also helped to make church meals, and items for church sales such as Easter eggs, soups, pies, and cakes.  Jean and her husband, also delivered tapes of the Sunday services to the members who couldn’t attend.  She volunteered alongside her husband with the Mechanicsburg Area Meals on Wheels.  Jean enjoyed singing, sewing, decorating, refinishing furniture, and making braided wool rugs.  She often spent Sundays having a family lunch and supper at her Grandma and Grandpa Pease’s house or making a trip to Country Cupboard.  Jean loved to work in her flower gardens, color pictures, and watch The Inspiration Channel.  She sometimes made trips to Woolrich and Susquehanna Trail for sewing material and Furmans for vegetables to can or freeze.  Jean most enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.  Her greatest love was her family and helping others, which included assisting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
