Kramer and Helen R. (Morris) Kramer.  Jean was the widow of Albert Donald Gill, whom she married on May 8, 1948, and who died on March 15, 2013.  In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Gill-Failor-Summey; her grandson, Mark B. Gill; her sister, Helen Kathleen Mull; and her four brothers: Jack Kramer, Joseph Kramer, Samuel Kramer, and Gilbert Kramer.

Jean’s survivors include her seven children: Dr. Ron Gill and his wife, Barbara, of Middletown, DE, Kathy Delmonico and her husband, Lou, of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Barbie Gill-Ginter of Dillsburg, PA, Patty Shive and her husband, Stan, of Gardners, PA, Nan M. Witt and her husband, Dr. Emitt, III, of Rolla, MO, Joan Bryant and her husband, Bob, of York Springs, PA, Donna Sohmer and her husband, Ryan, of Harrisburg, PA; her 14 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Bern Kramer of Del City, OK; her son-in-law, Rod Ginter of Ocala, FL; her brother-in-law, Warren Mull of Pembroke Pines, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Jean graduated from Catholic High School as part of the class of 1945. She retired from the Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg, after 35 years of service working as a book packer.  Jean was a past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.  She enjoyed the various activities that her and her husband, Albert, would partake in over the years.  The two would go camping at Gifford Pinchot State Park, take bus trips to casinos, take out their pontoon boat, go out to eat, and travel all over together.  Jean also loved to bake and share her desserts with everyone.  Every Halloween, she would make soft taffy and hand it out to her trick-or-treaters, which soon made Jean the most popular place to go for candy.  She also would make the most delicious whoopee pies and Christmas cookies.  Jean adored her cat, Sammy, and liked to spend quality time with him.  The most important thing to Jean was her family.  She loved them deeply and cherished every memory she made in their presence.

All are welcome to join Jean’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Roger Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill.  Honored to be pallbearers are: Anthony Bryant, Ben Bryant, Chad Divel, Celeste Miller, Seth Shive, Shay Shive, and Ryan Sohmer.
