Mike began excelling and leading early in life which became evident when he earned the rank of Eagle Scout at the young age of 13. From his youth and throughout his life, Mike was a patriotic man.
Mike enjoyed many simple pleasures in life like: traveling, sports, history, Star Wars, James Bond movies, eating out, and of course, Coke over Pepsi. He was a man with a dry sense of humor. One might even say that he liked to be snarky. Disney World was a special love of Mike’s, as was Hilton Head Island. Spending time with his family at these special places was some of the best time of his life. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother who loved his family and his church deeply.
