Gardener with a Green Thumb -
Robert “Bob” W. Steele, age 55, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully while being comforted by his family on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Bob was born on Wednesday, January 9, 1963 in Beaver Falls to the late F. “Bill” William Steele and Ruth A. (Blinn) Steele.
Bob’s survivors include his loving wife of nearly 17 years, Tammey L. (Hoose) Steele; his daughter, Dana Steele of Pittsburgh; his two stepchildren: Keith Blow of Mechanicsburg, Jenny Rank and her husband, Bradley, and their two children: Caroline and Theodore, of Wahiawa, HI; his two sisters: Carol Holman of Beaver Falls, Mary Wardle of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from Black Hawk High School as part of the class of 1981. He worked for Transforce, Inc. for a total of 18 years and was currently being leased to Crane Motor Freight in Strinestown as a truck driver for the last 8 years. He had quite the green thumb as well as a knack for gardening and growing flowers. Bob’s pride and joy was the very well manicured yard he always kept. He also enjoyed making things with his hands such as the deck he built with just his wife, Tammey, by his side. Bob loved to sit outside, take in the peace and quiet, and listen to the wind and birds singing.
Bob’s family will be remembering his life privately. Cremation was private.
