Loving Son, Brother, Uncle, & Friend -
Thomas “Tom” Lee Robbins, age 50, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Tom was born on Wednesday, June 14, 1967 in Williamsport to Joan Marie (Haddix) Robbins and the late James L. Robbins.

Tom graduated from Williamsport Area High School as part of the class of 1985 and he attended Bloomsburg University. He worked for DLA Installation Support Distribution in New Cumberland since 2009 as a civilian employee. Tom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and he attended church locally in Mechanicsburg. He was musically talented from a young age where he learned to play the violin and it led him to play in the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra for a couple years following high school. Tom taught himself how to play guitar and he shared those skills as a mentor to those who wanted to learn as well.
He enjoyed volunteering his time to help others. Tom helped part-time with the visually impaired at the Blind Association in Williamsport and he was self-taught in American Sign Language. In 1987, Tom went on a mission trip with his church to Brazil for two years. He visited Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro where he learned how to speak Portuguese. Tom had a big heart and caring personality that was seen through his love of animals. He had many friends and was the jokester in group who always had everyone laughing. Most importantly, Tom found great joy in the time that he spent with his family, especially his niece and nephews.
