Alfred "Al" Charles Roesner

Alfred “Al” Charles Roesner, age 82, of Mechanicsburg, died at home on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Al was born on May 13, 1943, in Glen Cove, NY to the late Alfred Peter Henry and Elisabeth AnnMarie (Sprue) Roesner.

Al’s survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joan (Bennett) Roesner; his three children: Alfred John Roesner and his wife Julie of Colorado, Charles “Chuck” Michael Roesner and his wife Crystal of Mechanicsburg, Gretchen Lynn Richardson and her husband Keith of Hummelstown; and his four grandsons: Nikolas Roesner, Jonathon Roesner, Graham Richardson, and Henry Richardson.

Al worked at Grumman Aerospace, Inc in New York and Cape Canaveral, FL on the Apollo Missions Lunar Modules 6, 7, 9, 10, and 12 as the Lead Instrumentation Engineer. He then joined EDS in 1972 and worked there for 26 years before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, biking, boating, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family. 

He will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

An informal gathering to celebrate Al will be held on Saturday  June 28 between 1 and 4 at 1105 Gunstock Ln. Mechanicsburg.  His friends, coworkers and family are welcome to attend.
