Arnold Clayton Price, age 93, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Arnold was born on Thursday, November 19, 1931, in Kingston to the late William Clifford Price and Margaret Stella (Brown) Price. In addition to his parents, Arnold is preceded in death by his brothers: Robert (Bob) Price, William “Bill” Price, Jr., Howard Price; and a granddaughter: Rhea Nicole Wagner.
Arnold’s survivors include his wife of nearly 72 years, Mary Marguarite (Sparks) Price; his daughter: Rhonda Price Wagner and husband Allan (Ed), of Mechanicsburg; his granddaughter: Angela Rae Wagner of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Arnold was an Air Force veteran. Upon honorable discharge from the Air Force, Arnold and Marguarite were married on September 4, 1953. They lived in Tucumcari, New Mexico; Amarillo, Texas; and later in Monocacy, Pennsylvania. They are still members of the First Baptist Church of St. Peters, Pennsylvania. Arnold was a service station operator, a mechanic, and an insurance salesman, and had a flea market stand. He enjoyed photography and developed his own photos in the 1960s. Other hobbies included Amateur Radio. He even built his own radios. Arnold enjoyed visiting with his extended family members. After retirement, Arnold and Marguarite traveled often on bus trips and took an annual Myrtle Beach vacation with the "Roosters", an Amateur Radio club. In 2002, Arnold and Marguarite moved to Mechanicsburg to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. Arnold was a member of the Mechanicsburg Elks Club, The Mechanicsburg Club, and the Mechanicsburg American Legion. They attended The First United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg.
All are welcome to join Arnold’s family at his viewing on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:15 a.m. all at First United Methodist Church, 135 West Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Mira Hewlett officiating. Arnold’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the church immediately following the service. Burial will follow the reception in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
