Ashley Marie Crawn

Ashley Marie Crawn, age 38, of Mechanicsburg, died on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Ashley was born on Monday, August 4, 1986, in Carbondale to James Henry Crawn and Sheri Marie (Giles) Tovcimak.

Ashley’s survivors include her husband of seven years, Gurkan “Cap” Pehlivan; her four children: Keira Lyn Vallenilla, Alina Mae Kent, Aslan James Pehlivan, Kaplan John Pehlivan; her parents: James Henry Crawn of New York, Sheri Marie (Giles) Tovcimak of Florida, her three siblings: Maura Lee Crawn and husband Kyle Klinger, of Mechanicsburg, James Matthew Crawn of Duncannon, John Michael Tovcimak of Marysville; her maternal grandmother: Eileen Beavers and her husband Ronald “Skip” Beavers, of Moscow; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Ashley attended Susquenita High School and Harrisburg Area Community College. She had recently been employed in sales at Best Buy. Ashley was an exceptionally strong and intelligent individual with a thirst for knowledge. She possessed a warm demeanor and a heart of gold. While being handy, she could also be stubborn at times. Ashley took great pleasure in cooking, skillfully preparing delicious meals from scratch for her family without the aid of recipes. She enjoyed listening to music. Her musical preferences were eclectic, with a fondness for Hispanic, R&B, and classical piano. Ashley recently started playing the piano and reading the bible to deepen her spiritual connection. She had a deep affection for animals, but her love for her children and family surpassed all else. Ashley will be missed by those fortunate to be part of her life.

Ashley’s family will be celebrating her life privately. Interment in Mechanicsburg Cemetery will be at the family’s convenience.
