Bonita Bea (Messick) Thorpe

Bonita Bea (Messick) Thorpe, age 72, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022.  Bonita was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1950, in Lancaster to the late Harry Letcher Messick and Norma Wolf (Hartranft) Messick.  Bonita was the widow of Donald Lee Thorpe, whom she married on April 6, 1968, and who died on November 4, 2012.

Bonita’s survivors include her four sons: James “Jim” Thorpe of ND; Donald “Chris” Thorpe of Golden Valley, AZ; Jeffrey “Jeff” Thorpe and his husband, Rotem Perez, of Los Angeles, CA; Joseph “Joe” Thorpe of Lebanon; her seven grandchildren; her three sisters: Sonja Rados and her husband, John, of New Cumberland; Cindy Wise and her husband, John, of Mechanicsburg; Linda Pishney and her husband, Philip, of Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Bonita’s family will be remembering her life privately.  Cremation was private.
