Florida Keys Dreams -

Brian Lee Norris, age 49, of New Cumberland, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, joined his mother in heaven while surrounded by his family and resting peacefully in his home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Brian was born on Sunday, April 18, 1971, in Camp Hill to Michael Lee Norris and the late Marilyn May (Stitzel) Norris.  In addition to his mother, Brian is preceded in death by his loving Sheltie, Dozer, who gleefully met Brian across the rainbow bridge.

Brian’s survivors include his beloved wife of 17 years, Michelle Lee Norris; his four children: Kelsie Kephart and partner Daniel Bair, David Kephart, Kevin Norris, Delaney Norris; his two grandchildren: Kamdyn Renee and Cade Brian; his father, Michael Lee Norris; his brother, David Norris and wife Dona; his niece, Rachel Norris; and his faithful German Shepherd, KC.

Brian graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1989 and from Harrisburg Area Community College with a degree in automotive technology.  He was a manager at Goodyear Tire & Auto for 10 years and worked in sales for 10 years at Zep Chemical Products.  Four years ago, Brian turned his passions for scuba diving, collecting, and tropical aquatic life into his own business, Marathon Aquatics; purchasing undersea property off the coast of Marathon, Florida.  He loved the Florida Keys and planned to move there some day.  Brian belonged to the Mason Dixon Reef Club and some of his family’s best memories are scuba diving in the Keys and traveling together.  Other favorite activities of Brian’s included photography and riding his Honda CBR1000 motorcycle.  His family and friends fondly think of Brian as a humorist and jokester with a sarcastic wit.  He was a good conversationalist who enjoyed talking to and visiting with people; and Brian was welcoming and kind to everyone.  He was a patient and level-headed person who kept his cool.  Most of all, Brian was a proud family and business man, and he will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

All are welcome to join Brian’s family for his virtual gathering of family and friends and service via video chat or telephone on Saturday, April 25, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until time of virtual viewing at 2:45 p.m. and time of service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Stefanie DiFrancesco officiating.  Private scattering will be in Key West, Florida.  A public gathering and celebration of Brian’s life will be announced once scheduled.  Cremation was private.
