Charles “Chuck” Eugene Bricker, age 85, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Chuck was born on Saturday, August 3, 1940, in Hogestown to the late Oscar Newton Bricker and Mabel Evelyn (Ritter) Bricker.

Chuck’s survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Catherine (McGough) Bricker; his two daughters: Tammy Hoffman and husband Ronald, of Dillsburg, Tina Bricker and husband Jeffrey Goss, of Mechanicsburg; his two grandchildren: Emily Hoffman and her significant other Liam Costelloe, Ronald Hoffman; his brother: Robert Bricker and wife Margaret, of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.

Chuck graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1958. After high school he proudly served in the United States Army. Chuck founded and operated Bricker’s Auction in Mechanicsburg, concluding a nearly-50-year career as the owner and auctioneer. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Club, American Legion Post 109, and Business Men’s League of Mechanicsburg. Chuck enjoyed outdoor pursuits throughout his life among them walking, riding his bike, snowmobiling, riding in his golf cart, as well as old cars, especially his Pontiac LeMans Convertible and collecting antiques. He was a fan of Penn State Football and wrestling. He enjoyed visiting the beach and strolling the boardwalk. Chuck will be missed by his family and those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

All are welcome to join Chuck’s family at his celebration of life open house on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation). Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Family requests guests come comfortable and casual. Burial will take place in Longsdorf Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, at the convenience of the family.
