Charles “Pete” L. Miller, Jr.
A Fun-Loving Guy -
Charles “Pete” L. Miller, Jr., age 69, of Shiremanstown, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Pete was born on Saturday, May, 5, 1951 in Harrisburg to the late Charles Leslie Miller, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Jacobs) Miller. In addition to his parents, Pete is preceded in death by his sister, Nellie; and his beloved golden retriever, Molly.
Pete’s survivors include his four children: Meagan Trantow and husband, Bryan, of Burnsville, MN, Mandy Miller of Henderson, NV, Adrianne Miller of Shiremanstown, Nicolas Miller of Shiremanstown.
Pete was a fun-loving guy with a great smile and a huge heart. He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as a part of the class of 1969, where he made many lifelong friends. In his younger days, he raced motorcycles, winning many competitions along the way. His love of fast things led him to careers at Sholly’s Cycle Shop, Model Motors Nissan, the L.B Smith Group, and various other dealerships. He also founded Motor-Vation in Mechanicsburg. Pete enjoyed watching sports and was so excited when his Cleveland Browns made it into the playoffs this year. He loved fishing and traveling and his best memories were vacationing with his kids in Fort Myers Beach, FL.
He served as a volunteer at the Harrisburg State Hospital and always gave back. If Pete knew you liked or wanted something, chances are he would make sure you got it. His kindness lives on in his children: Meagan, Mandy, Adrianne and Nicolas.
