Christine "Chris" Marie (Fusner) Schwartz

Christine “Chris” Marie (Fusner) Schwartz, age 65, of Harrisburg passed away on Wednesday April 22, 2026. Chris was born on Friday, July 8, 1960 in Reading to the late Donald Fusner and Rosemarie (Brancadora) Ohse.

Chris’s survivors include her two children: Naomi Summers and her husband Josiah of Camp Hill, Reuben Schwartz; and her two half-siblings: Robert Ohse of Connecticut, and Richelle Vanderwal of Michigan.

Chris graduated from Reading Area High School and from Reading Area Community College. She retired from the nursing field after over 20 years of service. Chris was a woman of faith and a firm believer in Jesus her Messiah. She enjoyed listening to 60’s and 70’s music. Chris was proudly Italian and valued quality food, both for cooking and eating. However, her guilty pleasure was cherry jolly ranchers, and Nerds gummy clusters. Chris will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
