Clare Edith (Glace) Roros

Clare Edith (Glace) Roros, age 72, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Resurrection Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Clare was born on November 1, 1952, in Newburgh, NY to the late Walter Glace and Shirley (Innis) Glace. In addition to her parents, Clare is preceded in death by her sister: Nancy Glace.

Clare’s survivors include her sons: Jesse Roros of Mechanicsburg, Seth Roros and wife Casey, of Shermans Dale; her two grandchildren: Olivia Roros, Benjamin Roros; her sister: Beth Glace and husband Joe Liggera of Esopus, NY; and her nephew Matthew Fochios of Esopus, NY.

She is a 1970 graduate of the Newburgh Free Academy and the State University at Farmingdale with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Clare worked as a dental hygienist for years and most recently as a contractor for the state of Pennsylvania.

Clare was a devoted, selfless and loving mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family. Her smile always lit up the room. Her kindness was boundless, reaching far beyond mere gestures, touching lives and hearts with profound sincerity. Clare also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. This led to her involvement with Northeast Coonhound Rescue. In addition, she enjoyed cooking and gardening. Clare showcased her musical talent as an oboist with the West Shore Symphony Orchestra. Her passion for travel took her many places around the world. Clare was a breast cancer survivor, having overcome the disease in 1989.

All are welcome to join Clare’s family for her celebration of life on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Visitation begins at 11:30 a.m. with a service following at 12:30 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Clare’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service. Burial will follow the reception in Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
