Debra Lynn Giardullo (nee George), a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away on November 27, 2025, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, at the age of 73. Born on May 14, 1952, in Youngstown, Ohio, Debra was known for her warmth, generosity, and steadfast commitment to her family and faith.
A proud graduate of Chaney High School in 1972, Debra furthered her education by attending Youngstown State University. Her professional journey saw her retire from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Giant Food, where she established lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
Debra's life was one steeped in love and devotion, particularly towards her family. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with Brianna E. Hoke, Dana E. Hoke, Madelynn M. Doland, and Ryan S. Doland. Holidays and special occasions were a source of great delight for Debra, filled with laughter, shopping trips, and the celebration of achievements with her cherished grandchildren.
Her daughters, Laura Lynn Hoke and Angela Lynn (Steven) Doland, were the recipients of Debra's boundless love. They not only shared in her daily adventures but were also her partners in life’s journey. Debra's relationship with her husband, Samuel R. Giardullo, was characterized by deep affection and mutual support, both of which remained steadfast throughout their 53 years together.
Debra was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, attending Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in New Oxford, where she was an active member of the Women's group. She took her religious commitments seriously and made it a priority to never miss important family milestones, such as baptisms, first communions, confirmations, and weddings. Religious holidays were always a cause for celebration in the Giardullo household.
Outside of her familial and spiritual commitments, Debra had a passion for camping, an adventure that began with her first camper in 1972. Her fondness for spending weekends at Raystown Lake, enjoying fireside chats with friends, created memories that her family will hold dear forever.
Debra held close relationships with her siblings—Fred George of Florida, Susan Cleland of Ohio, Cynthia Chepke of New Hampshire, and Kathy Slifko of Ohio—sharing stories and experiences that strengthened their bonds. She had a lifelong friendship with Kim Przewoznik, a connection that brought them great joy as they reminisced about their children and grandchildren while shopping for special occasions. Her hobbies were crossword puzzles and word games along with cooking special meals.
Debra leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred V. and Elizabeth E. (Artman) George, her son-in-law Jeffery A. Hoke, and her beloved dog, Taco.
Debra will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family, her joyous spirit, and her ability to bring people together. Her memory will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched, making the world a brighter place.
