Diane was a remarkable woman whose legacy will be cherished by all who knew her.
Diane was a 1970 Mechanicsburg High School graduate and spent much of her life in Cumberland County.
A member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church, Diane embraced a life of service and faith. Diane's warm and caring spirit showed in the many years she devoted herself to the care of her parents, Bruce and Dawn. She embodied the qualities of strength, responsibility, and compassion. She met her husband, Don Butler, later in life, and they embarked on a beautiful journey together, making the most of their time as partners in love and life.
Diane’s personality was as vibrant as her laughter, which had a contagious quality that could brighten the gloomiest of days. She would often visit the beach to appreciate the vast beauty of God's creation. She had a special fondness for dogs, often keeping treats ready for her four-legged visitors. This kindness and love for animals reflected her nurturing spirit, which was evident to all who crossed her path.
As an individual who valued her health and well-being, Diane took great pleasure in walking. She was proud of her accomplishments, notably participating in a walking competition where she attained an impressive milestone of over 70,000 steps in one week. This achievement is a testament to her dedication to an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Don Butler, and her brothers, Kenneth and Richard, nephew Neil, niece Pamela, and great-niece Samantha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Dawn, and her brother, Steven.
The memory of Diane Elaine McMillin will forever remain in our hearts, cherished for her unwavering spirit, her devotion to family, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to have known her.
Diane's family will be remembering her life privately.
