Diane Kay (Steadman) Weldon

Diane Kay (Steadman) Weldon, age 59, of Shermans Dale, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, following a prolonged illness.  Diane was born on Friday, July 5, 1963, in Townville, PA, to William “Bill” Frank Steadman and the late Dorothy Jean (Hancox) Steadman.

Diane is survived by her husband of 28 years, Philip Hugh Weldon; her father, William Steadman; her two sisters, Gail Steadman of Meadville and Laura Priester (Randy) of Erie; and Laura & Randy’s children, McKenna, Jeff and Natalie, all of whom she loved dearly.

Diane earned a college degree in Computer Information Processing from Edinboro University and went on to work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 30 years.  She retired as a Division Chief in charge of Project Management.

Diane enjoyed traveling, playing cards & games, visiting family, and many hobbies including mangling guitar music.  She was an avid photographer taking pictures of the flora, fauna, and family everywhere she visited.  She had a great sense of adventure, a wonderful sense of humor and found peace & serenity in the natural world.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at UPMC West Shore Hospital and UPMC Palliative Care who cared for Diane during her illness and her last days.
