Eleanor Mary Tozolosky

We are saddened to announce the passing of Eleanor Tozolosky (Plis), of Enola, PA who passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on April 12, 2025. Eleanor was born on September 18, 1928, in Shenandoah, PA to the late Joseph and Mary (Opelia) Plis. Eleanor was the widow of Joseph Albert Tozolosky, Sr., who passed on May 12, 1995. In addition to her parents, seven brothers and sisters and husband, Eleanor is preceded in death by her children: Joseph Tozlosky, Jr., Elaine Holsinger; and her granddaughter: Christal Butler.

Eleanor’s survivors include her three children: Janice Bender of Round Rock, TX, David Tozlosky of Redington Beach, FL, Lynn Thomas and husband George, of Sacramento, PA;  her eight grandchildren: Kristin Waddington and husband Erin, Erin Pitts and husband Adam, Tristan Baron and husband Leslie, Troy Tozlosky, Alexsis Thomas, Trent Thomas, Stephenie Finkey and husband Chris, Sara Keister and husband Shane; and her seven great-grandchildren: Emma Finkey, Ella Finkey, Nova Pitts, Leona Pitts, Bennet Baron, Aaliyah Butler, and Anya Waddington. 

Eleanor enjoyed visits from her family. Walking into her home you would always be greeted by the aroma of a pot of soup simmering on the stove or a home cooked meal being prepared. She would always ‘put on a pot of coffee’ to enjoy with dessert as we would all sit around the kitchen table in conversation. Her love for her family was consistently demonstrated through her dedication to their well-being. She was a member St. Katharine Drexel Church and former member of the Mechanicsburg Navy Base Officer’s Club.  Eleanor will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.  

Eleanor’s family has chosen to remember her life privately. Interment at St. John's Cemetery in Mechanicsburg will be at the family's convenience.
