Very Generous & Thoughtful –

Esta LaRue (Billow) Morrison, age 94, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Waynesboro, passed away while surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Sunday, August 1, 2021.  Esta was born on Sunday, November 14, 1926, in Waynesboro to the late Arthur Harrison Billow and Amy I. (Myers) Billow.  In addition to her parents, Esta is preceded in death by her four siblings: Frieda Dansberger, Doris Billow, Leon Billow, and Jane Monn.

Esta’s survivors include her two daughters: Diana R. McLaughlin of Lemoyne, Dena R. Durnin of Camp Hill; her two granddaughters: Babette L. Madison and husband, Dirk J., of Carlisle, Aimee E. Mares and husband, Daniel T., of Tulsa, OK; her four great-grandsons: Cody J. Madison of Pittsburgh, Connor L. Madison of Carlisle, Colton S. Madison of Carlisle, Daniel V. Mares of Tulsa, OK; several nieces and nephews; and her many dear friends.

Esta graduated from Waynesboro High School as part of the class of 1944.  She then began working as a fingerprint technician for the FBI in Washington, D.C.  In 1960, Esta became employed with the Pennsylvania State Police and retired after almost 29 years of service as a fingerprint technician.  She was so very proud of her career.  Esta also worked at Allenberry in the restaurant as a waitress for many years.

Esta enjoyed doing arts and crafts, particularly drawing small pictures.  She also liked to play bingo, travel, collect antiques, and spend time with her loving friends.  Esta loved children and her family.  They remember her as being very generous and thoughtful.  She never forgot a birthday because a card always arrived in the mail.

Esta’s family will be remembering her life privately.

In accordance with Esta’s wishes, her body has been donated to Pennsylvania Humanity Gifts Registry.
