Glenda Faye (Barbour) Beachley

Glenda Faye (Barbour) Beachley, age 87, of Mechanicsburg, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Glenda was born on Saturday, April 23, 1938, in Carlisle to the late Glenn William Barbour and Helen Irene (Shade) Westhafer. Glenda was the widow of Richard Brenneman Sr, John Sheaffer and then of Glenn Beachley who died on March 16, 2009. In addition to her parents and husbands, Glenda is preceded in death by her two children: Brenda Brown, Randy Sheaffer; her grandson: Andrew Beachley; and her three siblings: Clarence Eugene “Gene” Barbour, Mark L. Westhafer, and Pauline Gutshall.

Glenda’s survivors include her two children: Penny Ott and her husband Michael of Mechanicsburg, Richard “Rich” Brenneman Jr of Mechanicsburg; her two step sons: Timothy Beachley of Newville, Scott Beachley of York; her seven grandchildren: Jason Ott and his wife Mary, Candi LeBeau and her husband Jeremy, Jessica Brenneman, Seth Brenneman and his wife sarah, Elizabeth Slaseman and her husband Jimmy, Steven Beachley, Ashley Dennis; her nine great grandchildren: Haily, Tyler, Gavin, Emma, Kason, Holden, Amelia, Mckenzi, Kaleb; her half-brother: Paul Westhafer and his wife Juanita of Mechanicsburg; her beloved canine companion: Bear; and several nieces and nephews.

Glenda was a feisty woman. She loved her animals and had too many pets to name. Glenda would do whatever she could to help anyone who needed it. She was an avid bingo player, and liked playing at the Mechanicsburg Club and the Silver Spring Fire Company. Glenda loved to gamble at Hollywood casino, but also enjoyed a good scratch-off lottery ticket. She relaxed by putting together puzzles and camping with her husband Glenn. They would take drives together and never knew where they would end up. She will be dearly missed by those who are fortunate enough to have known her.

All are welcome to attend, Glenda's interment service on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.  Those who wish to attend should arrive at the cemetery by 9:45 a.m.  Cremation was private.
