Harold L. Kennedy, aged 92, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, with his family by his side at the Lancaster General Hospital, where he and the family gratefully received a military walk of honor from their staff.

Born October 11, 1932, only son of Claire and Amy Kennedy, Harold graduated from York Springs High School in 1951. From there, he went to work for Lefever Brothers Chevrolet in Dillsburg and served as a corporal in the Army in Korea in 1953-1954. He married Betty L. Kennedy in 1962, who preceded him in death in 1996.

Harold moved to the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown late last year but lived in Camp Hill since 1983. He was well known as the go-to car guy who collected, sold, and traded hundreds of unique, rare and vintage vehicles over decades. Harold was an original and founding member of the Blue Moon Cruisers, and a long-time member of the West Shore-Harrisburg Elks Lodge 2257, Lower Allen VFW Post 7530, and the Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109. He was a Masonic brother for 52 years, most recently in the Eureka Lodge.

He had a long and successful career as a salesman with numerous leading American manufacturers, including Reynolds and Drackett Company, where he introduced what became proverbial household products to regional stores and national chains. He modernized advertising and developed creative in-store display designs from the 1960s through 80s. He retired from Keystone Leather Distribution in Williamsport, where he sold hand-crafted leather products to Amish and Mennonite stores throughout Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Larry Jameson, and son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Ella Kennedy, all in Mechanicsburg. His grandchildren include: Dan Jameson (Kaitlin) in Mechanicsburg, Tom Jameson (Nicole) in North Carolina, Lydia Kennedy Miles (John) in Mechanicsburg, and Kendra Kennedy in Florida. His nine great-grandchildren include: Kennedy and Luka Formbor; Layla, Aviana and Beckham Miles; Maisie and Lucy Jameson; and Sophia and Liam Jameson. He celebrated ten wonderful years with his devoted significant other Sue Stuart not long before he passed.
