Howell Brookes

My boy Howell was born on January 19, 1946. He passed away by my side on June 26, 2026.We grew up in Caldwell/West Caldwell New Jersey and met on the skating pond of Grover Cleveland Park on February 15,1963. Howell graduated from Gettysburg College in 1968 and we married February 15, 1969. We had many great adventures. Howell retired as an Advisory System Architect from IBM in 2000, and went on to work at CTG for a few more years. He enjoyed sharing a birthday with Dolly Parton, and Thursday mornings at Wegmans. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur T. and Blanche W. Brookes as well as his brother A. Thomas Brookes of Manasquan, NJ. He was also predeceased by his uncle William Brookes, and his cousin William Brookes of Bernardsville. He is survived by his sister in law Lois B Brookes, of Manasquan, New Jersey and her children Thomas Louis Brookes and wife Melissa and their daughter Maddy. and Robyn Brookes Rubino and her son Christopher all of Florida. He also leaves two cousins and their families, Robert Brookes of NH and Lawrence Brookes of New York and his brother in law R. Brian Sweeting of Mechanicsburg.
