Jacqueline L. (Rosser) Mauro, 78, lovingly known as Jackie, formerly of Hollidaysburg peacefully passed away at home on November 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Leona V. (McGee) and John E. Rosser.
Jackie illuminated the lives of those who knew her with her profound kindness, unwavering spirit, and joyful laughter. A devoted mother, Jackie leaves behind her cherished daughters, Angela (Tony Savaglio) Durham and Melanie (Rod) Taylor. She was a grandmother whose love knew no bounds, doting on her grandchildren that she was so proud of: Cassondra Smith, Michela Smith, Hunter Taylor, and Kayla Taylor. Additionally, she embraced the role of great-grandmother with pride and joy, nurturing Isaiah Smith, Dominic Green, Janae Green, and Nash Taylor. She also leaves behind her Great Dane grandsons, Edgar and Winston who she loved. Her beloved siblings, Lynn (Judy) Rosser and Ellen Cunningham, both of Hollidaysburg, will forever hold the memories of their shared laughter, support and boundless love. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leona Rosser and her brother, Michael Rosser.
Jackie was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and continued her education at the Altoona School of Commerce. Over her adult career, Jackie worked at Members 1st Federal Credit Union (DAFCU), Cumberland Valley School District, and EDS. Jackie’s generosity and never-ending willingness to help others will always be remembered and was made evident by the work she did at EDS as the “Volunteer Queen.” She worked with Special Olympics, Breakfast with Santa, and the Angel Tree program with local school districts. Her legacy of love extends beyond her immediate family, as she touched the hearts of many friends and extended family throughout her life.
A celebration of Jackie’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Friends and family will be received from 9:30am until 11:00am Celebration of Life service at Daybreak Church, 321 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA. There will be a reception at the church immediately following the service.
