Jim graduated from Bellefonte Area Senior High School as part of the class of 1963.  He retired from Novesal Construction after many years as a self-employed carpenter.  Jim was passionately patriotic.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a life-time member of the VFW and American Legion.  Jim decorated his home for all patriotic holidays and Christmas.  He began decorating for Christmas in November, and earned the nickname “Sparky” due to his use of thousands of lights.  Jim had an affinity for trains, classic cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles; and he was well known for creating model train displays and repairing and painting classic cars.  He was a fan of all things Coca-Cola and Pittsburgh Steelers, especially the Steelers teams of the “Steel Curtain” era.  He displayed his Steelers gear with pride.  Jim will be greatly missed.
