Janet A. (Davis) Adams, 62, died peacefully, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Harrisburg Hospital, while surrounded by her family. She was born on Thursday, November 18, 1948, the daughter of the late Richard R. and Emma Jane (Reinhard) Davis.
Janet graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg. She retired four years ago after 30 years as a local school bus driver. She loved the kids, especially her grandkids. She was quick witted, sometimes being referred to as the “one liner queen”. This sense of humor may have inspired her love of clowns, having built up an impressive collection over the years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her faith in God was strong. As she battled cancer over the past several months she gave strength to her family with her “what will be, will be” philosophy.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 45 years: , James B. Adams, Mechanicsburg; two daughters: Shelly M. and her husband, Duane E. Bupp Jr. of Gardners, and Patricia A. and her husband Jeff L.Hawley of Dillsburg;
one
son: James B. Adams Jr., Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren: James T. Adams , Keighly M. Adams and Wade R. Hawley, all of Dillsburg; Cara M. Clouser and Jarett J. Bupp of Gardners; one brother: Richard Davis and one sister: Susanne Curtis, both of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Trevor Jacob Adams.
All are welcome to join Janet’s family at her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00 at
St. Joseph Catholic Church
, 400 East Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055, with the Rev. David M. Hereshko celebrating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
