Jeremiah “Jerry” Howard Minahan, age 87, of Camp Hill, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Jerry was born on Wednesday, August 18, 1937, in Philadelphia to the late Eugene Minahan and Marion Dupree (Borzell) Minahan. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his son: Jeremiah Minahan, Jr.; and his brother: Gene Minahan.
Jerry’s survivors include his wife of 49 years, Susan Charlotte (Clemmer) Minahan, whom he lovingly called “George”; his five children: Jeff and wife Denise, Michael and significant other Terri, Norma Jean and husband Ed, Natalie and husband Vince, Nicole and husband Barry; his 15 grandchildren; his 30 great-grandchildren: his sister: Marion Keen; and several nieces.
Jerry was the owner and operator of J.H. Minahan Shoe Pattern Company, which he operated for many years. He was a member of the Lower Allen VFW Post 7530 and the Mechanicsburg Club. Jerry was a devoted Phillies fan. He found enjoyment in reading magazines, country music, watching TV, American history, and indulging in a good Italian hoagie. Family played a large role in Jerry’s life. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was well liked by all who knew him.
All are welcome to join Jerry’s family at his graveside service on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 319 W. Winding Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. A Celebration of Life will be held at Jerry and Sue’s home immediately following his graveside service.
