Kenneth “Ken” Burton Taylor, age 68, of Shiremanstown, and formerly of Liverpool, passed away at home on Thursday, April 21, 2022.  Ken was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1953, in Lewistown to the late Kenneth Penrose Taylor and Sandra Sharlene (Smith) Taylor.  In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his brother, Merrill Taylor.

Ken graduated from Chief Logan High School as part of the class of 1972.  While attending high school, Ken also graduated from the Mifflin-Juniata Vocational Technical School.  Ken was employed by Costco, working in the warehouse.  Ken had a knack for making friends and was notorious for striking up a conversation with anyone standing close by.  Ken was an avid Penn State Football fan and could be found cheering them on every Saturday.  In addition to Penn State football, Ken enjoyed scratching lottery tickets, collecting baseball cards and above all else loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals.

Ken cherished his family.  Being around them brought him tremendous joy.  His grandchildren were the light of his life and Pappy was game for everything the grandchildren wanted to do.  He always looked forward to the next time that all five of the grandchildren would be together.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
