Enola

Linda Kay Yohe

Genuinely Nice Lady -

Linda Kay Yohe, age 69, of Enola, reunited with her family in heaven on Monday, August 3, 2020.  Linda was born on Saturday, September 23, 1950, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles William Yohe, Sr. and Anna Etta (Wickard) Yohe.  In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her infant sister, Florence Yohe, and her sister Laura B. Yohe.

Linda’s survivors include her two daughters: Angela “Angie” Foultz and husband Richard Foultz, Jr. of Harrisburg, Stephanie “Steph” King of Enola; her granddaughter: Tabbitha “Tabby” E. Foultz; her two brothers: Charles “Bill” W. Yohe, Jr. and wife Barbara of Connecticut, Edgar “Ed” G. Yohe of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1970.  She faithfully attended Trinity United Methodist Church in New Kingstown.  Her granddaughter Tabby fondly remembers that Linda would have cartoons playing on television for her before going to church together on Sunday mornings.  Linda also shared her fervor for books and reading with Tabby, passing down editions of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries and The Baby-Sitters Club series.  Linda read all the time and everything, particularly books about religion.  Linda was a writer, too, and her specialty was poetry.  She also liked to draw; everything from little pictures with notes she put in her daughters’ school lunches to birds in nature.  Horror movies were one of Linda’s favorite things to watch, and the gorier, the better.  More than anything, Linda was a genuinely nice lady who adored babies and children.  Not only did she and Steph hand out candy and quarters to trick-or-treaters on Halloween; Linda kept candy, quarters, and stuffed toys in her purse to give to the little ones she met any time.  Her family and friends hold Linda closely in their memories and hearts.

All are welcome to join Linda’s family for her in-person gathering of family and friends at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; and her virtual visitation via video chat or telephone on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating.  A virtual farewell and committal ceremony will complete the service at the funeral home.  Linda’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.

While Linda’s family will not be accepting flowers, they invite those wishing to celebrate Linda’s life to make a memorial contribution to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693; http://www.Heart.org/Donate.
