Gallagher, whom she married in 1969, and who died in 2015. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret is preceded in death by two grandchildren: Jennifer Gallagher, Lisa Gallagher; and her three brothers: John Turner, Milton Turner, and Elmer White.
Margaret’s survivors include her two children: Helen Gallagher Volz Kruml and her husband Michael of Wrightsville, PA, Dwayne Gallagher and his wife Jodi of Palmyra, PA; her two step-sons: James Gallagher Jr and his wife Cindy of Mt. Margaret grew up and lived in Baltimore until she met and married her husband, Jim. After he retired from the Army they settled in Mechanicsburg, PA. Margaret loved her job as a homemaker and made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She loved to cook new recipes, being outdoors, talking to the neighbors, and was a lifelong dog lover. She also enjoyed using her camera to capture some of our families' best memories. Margaret's real joy came with her grandchildren. She loved playing games, reading to them, and attending their events and activities. Margaret was the best Mom and will be remembered by her quick wit, her laughter, and her ability to always make you feel loved and welcomed. We love you, Mom! We’ll continue to say, “see you later” instead of goodbye as you taught us. We know you’ll welcome us into Heaven as you welcomed all into your home.
All are welcome to join Margaret’s family at viewing on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Kevin Stout officiating.
