Marie Ann (Monismith) Deitz, 84, of Mechanicsburg , died at Harrisburg Hospital on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. She was born in Carlisle, on Monday, January 6, 1930, daughter of the late Harry Monismith and Lucy Jane (Cooper) Monismith. Marie was the widow of Harvey C. Deitz whom she married on August 28, 1950.
Marie’s survivors include her daughter, Sarah Hoffman of Mechanicsburg; her grandchildren, Sharon Weakland and her husband Mark of Carlisle, Daniel “Tyke” Wenrich Jr. and his wife Renee of Duncannon; her great-grandchildren, Haley and Lindsay Weakland, Colton, Shelby, and Galen Wenrich, and her siblings, Lillian Sheaffer and her husband Leroy, Sonia Hershey, and Shirley Miller.
Marie retired from Carlisle Tire & Wheel after 20 years of service. She was a hardworking and selfless woman who adored her family, especially her grandchildren.
