Long Life Filled with Love -

Marie Helen (Mahlman) Lee, age 95, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital on Saturday, December 5, 2020.  Marie was born on Wednesday, November 25, 1925, in Philadelphia to the late Louis Mahlman and Anna Rose (Thiel) Mahlman.  Marie was the widow of William James Lee, whom she married on January 1, 1945, and who died on June 16, 1984.  In addition to her parents and husband, Marie is preceded in death by her two sons, John “Jack” Lee and Robert “Bobby” Lee; and her three brothers.

Marie’s survivors include her son, William “Bill” Lee and fiancée Candace Distasio of Mechanicsburg; her four grandchildren: Tracey Taylor, Bradley Lee, Steve Lee, and Michelle Perks; her eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marie retired from Book-of-the-Month Club in Mechanicsburg in 1985, where she worked in clerical and customer service positions.  Marie was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.  She belonged to the Red Hat Society for a number of years.  Marie enjoyed playing games and cherished the time that she spent with her family.  Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Marie loved her, and her family will miss her very much.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private.
