Martha "Marty" Cecilia White

Martha “Marty” Cecilia (Miller) White, age 85, of Carlisle died on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Martha was born on Thursday, September 22, 1938, in Etters, PA to the late John W. Miller and Ethel M. (Snyder) Miller. Martha was the widow of Kenneth R. White who died 1995. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha is preceded in death by her two brothers, Howard Miller and Ralph Miller, and her two sisters, Helen Hank and Eva Fry.

Marty’s survivors include her daughter, Trudy Jo Wertz and husband, Eric, of Mechanicsburg; her four siblings: Larry Miller and wife, Cathy, of Lewisberry, Benjamin Miller of Mechanicsburg, Francis Wrider of York Haven, and Florence Miller of Hampton, VA. 

Marty attended New Cumberland School. She retired as a receptionist after working for Dr. Sam Jones, for many years. Martha enjoyed cooking. She had a passion for hosting family dinners and was well known for her delicious pumpkin pies. Martha loved going out to eat at restaurants and going shopping. Martha adored her daughter Trudy and cherished the time that she spent with her. She will be sincerely missed by all those fortunate to be in her life. 

Marty’s family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
