Michael “Mike” John McKee, age 69, of Camp Hill, died on Friday, January 30, 2026. Mike was born on Monday, January 21, 1957, in Pittsburgh to John J. McKee and the late Shirley A. (Ward) McKee. In addition to his mother, Mike is preceded in death by his twin granddaughters: Rose Marie Olsen and Mary Teresa Olsen.
Mike’s survivors include his high school sweetheart and loving wife of over 45 years, Connie Marie (Cale) McKee; his three children: Betania Olsen and husband William, of Mechanicsburg, Teresa McKee of Camp Hill, Cale A. McKee of Camp Hill; his two grandchildren: Liliana Olsen, Alexandria “Lexi” Olsen; his father: John J. McKee of Camp Hill; his five siblings: Kathleen A. McKee of Frederick, MD, Elizabeth “Beth” McKee of Camp Hill, Teresa Fitzgerald and husband John, of Ireland, Thomas W. McKee and wife Mary, of Camp Hill, James T. McKee of Middletown, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Mike graduated from Camp Hill High School as part of the class of 1975 and from Drexel University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a devoted husband, father, Pop Pop, son, and brother. Mike found his greatest joy in spending time with his granddaughters, whose laughter and presence meant everything to him. He had a lifelong fascination with trains and the workings of anything mechanical, and he cherished time spent up the river with his brothers. Music was another place he found joy in his life – he was known for quizzing anyone nearby with, “What song is this?” or “Who sings this?”
Mike was a constant at his children’s sports and activities. He coached his daughter’s softball teams, and officiated – or enthusiastically cheered with a yell of “GO” – at his son’s swimming meets, and served for years as an assistant scout master. Mike’s encouragement and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be remembered for his deep love and dedication to his family, his broad knowledge of history and mathematics, his love of useless information, and the humor and dad jokes he brought into every room.
