Mildred “Millie” Louise (Umholtz) Duncan, age 74, of Shermans Dale, died on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Millie was born on Monday, November 20, 1950, in Mechanicsburg to the late Vernon Umholtz and Frances M. (Heffelfinger) Tibbens. In addition to her parents, Millie is preceded in death by her two children: Shane Vernon Duncan, Sunny Lyn Duncan; and her brother: Glenn R. French.

Millie’s survivors include her husband of 52 years, Charles Filmore Duncan, Jr.; her son: Bret Alan Duncan and wife Tracy, of Shermans Dale; her six grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her sister: Claire J. Hershberger of Camp Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Millie graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School as part of the class of 1969 and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. She retired from the State of Pennsylvania, after many years of service working as a certified public accountant. Millie loved animals and had a particular fondness for german shepherds and black cats. She attended racing events at Williams Grove Speedway cheering on her husband Charlie as he competed in his race car. Millie also had a fondness for horror films. She will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have been in her life.

Millie’s family will be remembering her life privately.
