Nancy Jane (Kitzmiller) Dellinger

Nancy Jane (Kitzmiller) Dellinger, age 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.  Nancy was born on Wednesday, February 13, 1935, in Enola to the late Wayne Harper Kitzmiller and Sara Jane (Seiders) Zeigler.  Nancy was the widow of Norman Joseph Dellinger, whom she married on February 6, 1953, and who died on May 4, 2015.  In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Julie Zeigler.

Nancy’s survivors include her four children: Karen Dellinger of Carlisle; Clifford “Cliff” Dellinger and his spouse, Brian, of Shermans Dale; Elaine Dellinger and her spouse, Lori, of Carlisle; Holly Dellinger of Mechanicsburg; her four grandchildren: Justin Gregorits of St. Petersburg, FL; Jennifer Perea of Shippensburg; Matthew Gregorits of Harrisburg; Lacy Herrington and her spouse, Daryle, of Pascagoula, MS; and her nine great-grandchildren: Brianna, Kane, Jordan, Zachary, Adam, Eli, Lila, Matyas, Mila.

Nancy graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1952.  She retired from both IBM and the Book of the Month Club after many years of service.  Nancy was a great pianist and liked playing Pinochle and Parcheesi.  She enjoyed water and swimming and loved to read; she was seldom found without a good book by her side.  More than anything else, Nancy loved her family.  She greatly enjoyed family visits with her children, grandchildren and her aunts, uncles and cousins.  Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

All are welcome to join Nancy’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating.  Nancy’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  Burial will follow the reception in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to the aides and nurses at the Thornwald Home who so lovingly cared for Nancy during her illness.
