Nancy Ann (Steffen) Plessinger

Nancy Ann (Steffen) Plessinger, age 81, of Mechanicsburg, died on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Nancy was born on Tuesday, May 13, 1944, in Lewisberry to the late Harry Steffen and Beatrice (Miller) Steffen. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her son: Robert “Bobby” Plessinger; and her two siblings: Mary Calhoun, Gene Steffen.

Nancy’s survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert “Pless” Plessinger; her two sons: Matthew Plessinger and wife Tara, of Mechanicsburg, Eric Plessinger and wife Alison, of Alexandria, VA; her five grandchildren: Victoria Plessinger, Christian Plessinger, Jared Plessinger, Justin Plessinger, Jillian Plessinger; her two siblings: Gary Steffen and wife Jean, of Lewisberry, Phyllis Spasiff and husband Phillip, of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion: Nash.

Nancy graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as part of the class of 1960 and from Harrisburg Nursing School in 1965. She spent the majority of her career as a dedicated nurse, retiring from the Visiting Nurses Association in 2001. Nancy enjoyed playing cards with her card club lady friends, traveling exploring new destinations with her husband, snorkeling and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

All are welcome to join Nancy’s family at her celebration of life open house on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation). Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.
