With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Nanette Gwendlyn Boger, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this life on April 3, 2026. Born on March 14, 1947, Nanette’s life was marked by unwavering dedication, boundless love, and a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew her.
A proud alumnus of Northern Lebanon High School, class of 1965, Nanette carried the lessons and friendships of her youth well into her adult life. Her career as an Inventory Management Specialist at Naval Support Activity in Mechanicsburg was a testament to her diligence and commitment, showcasing a work ethic that was both admirable and inspiring.
Nanette’s heart and soul were deeply entwined with her family, especially her devoted attention to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her beloved husband, Bruce, stood steadfast by her side through life’s trials and triumphs. She was the cherished mother of two sons, Derek (Beth) and Robert (Holly), whose lives she enriched with her wisdom and compassion. The legacy of her love and guidance lives on through her treasured grandchildren—Adam, Andrew, Elizabeth, Kevin, Autumn, and Jonah—and her great-grandchildren—Faith, Parker, Skie, Rozlyn, Theodore, Annabelle, Caleb, and Noah.
Beyond her family, Nanette was a spirited and communal soul. She led with grace and enthusiasm as the head of the social committee for her senior community, fostering connection and joy among her peers. Her devotion to her sons’ sports teams extended beyond cheering from the sidelines; she was the quintessential team mom, laboring tirelessly in the concession stand and nurturing a sense of camaraderie among players and families alike. Her passions were many and varied—bingo nights filled with laughter, voyages that embraced the thrill of travel, and dancing that celebrated the joyous rhythm of life.
Those who preceded her in death include her beloved mother, Ethel Cortright, and brother, Dea Cortright.
