Patricia Ann Brenneman

Patricia “Pat” Ann (Gebhart) Brenneman, age 83, of York, PA passed on Friday, May 16, 2025. Pat was born July 10, 1941, in York, PA to the late Bernard Gebhart and Beatrice (Zeigler) Gebhart.  Pat was preceded in death by husbands Kenneth “Ken” Eugene Abel, whom she married in August 1960; and Robert “Bob” Lee Brenneman, whom she married in May 1995.

Pat’s survivors include her sons Daniel “Dan” E. Abel and his wife Sheri of Mechanicsburg, PA, James B. Brenneman and his wife Beverly of Dover, PA, Michael L. Brenneman and his wife Barbara of St. Croix Falls, WI; her six grandchildren: Nicole Theofanis and her husband Dimitri, Taylor Abel, Gretchen Tankersley and her husband Shane, Tiffany Amolsch and her husband Dan, Brian Brenneman and his wife Julie, Alyssa Daugherty and her husband Chris; her 12 great grandchildren; and her sister Sandra “Sandy” Gotwalt and her husband Brian of Indio, CA.

Pat graduated from York Catholic High School in 1959. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a monthly card club. Pat could often be found working in her beautiful flower garden tending to her plants. She was an avid traveler and had a fondness for her family cabin in the mountains in Potter County where she could relax surrounded by nature. She loved her annual beach trips to the Carribean and Wildwood Crest, NJ with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her.

All are welcome to join Pat’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Thursday May 29, 2025, from 10:30 until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. to be held at St. David’s E.C. Church, 2411 Oakland Rd, Dover, PA 17315, with Pastor Pat Teaford officiating. Pat’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at St. David’s E.C. Church immediately following the service. Burial will follow the reception in Mt. Rose Cemetery in York, PA.
