Patricia "Pattie" (DeVore) Sheaffer

Patricia “Pattie” (DeVore) Sheaffer, age 73, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday May 8, 2025. Pattie was born on Sunday, August 12, 1951 in Alexandria, VA to the late William Harold DeVore and Beverly Lou (Kolkhorst) DeVore.

Pattie’s survivors include her son: Andrew Sheaffer and his girlfriend Cassandra Keiser of Mechanicsburg, PA; life partner: James Rapp of Mechanicsburg, PA; three siblings: William DeVore and his companion Monie Harsham of Willow Hill, PA, Heather Zielonis and her husband Timothy of Mechanicsburg, PA, Duncan DeVore and his wife  Stacey of Mechanicsburg, PA; her niece: Carly Pownell and her husband Jesse of Mechanicsburg, PA

 Pattie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews with one on the way. Whom she loved very much. She is now reunited with her beloved dogs poco and Loci.

Pattie was a 1969 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School.  She received her RN from Hahnemann medical college in 1977.  She spent her career throughout various hospitals in PA, Before retiring from a national insurance company as a medical consult.  

Pattie enjoyed traveling, skiing, reading and correcting everyone’s grammar.  Most importantly she loved spending time with her family.  

Pattie’s family will be remembering her life on Saturday, May 17th at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg Pa. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. A lunch will be provided after the funeral service in the church fellowship hall.
