Patrick “Pat” John Reardon

Lived Life on His Own Terms -

Patrick “Pat” John Reardon, age 84, of Camp Hill, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.  Pat was born on Saturday, January 16, 1937, in Harrisburg to the late John Reardon and Mary (Euker) Reardon.  Pat was married to Gloria Jean (Thompson) Reardon.  In addition to his parents and wife, Pat is preceded in death by his stepmother Charlotte Reardon, and seven brothers and sisters.

Pat’s survivors include his three children: Christine Rowe, and husband, Dennis, of Dillsburg, Anthony “Tony” Reardon, and wife, Robin Knight, of Norman, OK, Michael Reardon and wife, Anne, of Lewisberry; his six grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; his sister, Joan Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and served in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany. He earned a Bachelor degree from York College and worked for IBM and the US Post Office.

Pat liked to live life on his own terms.  He really knew the value of a dollar and had a strong work ethic.  Pat dedicated much of his time to his family while his three children grew up.  Later in life, he enjoyed when the grandchildren came over to visit.  Some of his hobbies included going to auctions and the flea market where finding a good buy made his day.  Pat was a big Notre Dame Football fan and could occasionally be heard yelling at the TV when they weren’t playing well.  After retiring he enjoyed travelling on short trips with friends to see the countryside - mostly throughout central PA.

Pat’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg will be at the family’s convenience.
