Ralph Anthony Picarelli, beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, passed away at home on February 24, 2026, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, at the age of 79. Ralph was born on January 2, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, where he also attended parochial school. Ralph was a kind, thoughtful and loving person and was a faithful Catholic who recently renewed his faith. His friends knew of his consideration, wisdom and leadership in helping others in the various communities where he lived.
Ralph held varied positions in commercial and residential mortgage lending and dedicated much of his professional life to Wells Fargo Bank, where he served as a Loan Underwriter, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his knowledge and professionalism. His commitment to his work was matched only by his unwavering dedication to his family.
Education played a crucial role in Ralph's life; he proudly attended Brooklyn Tech High School and later completed his Bachelors' degree at Iona University, where he laid the foundation for his successful career. Outside of work, Ralph was a vibrant individual who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known for being a great cook, creating cherished meals, as Thanksgiving, that brought loved ones together at the dinner table. His passion for the New York Giants showcased his deep love for his home city, while his fondness for Frank Sinatra’s music provided the perfect soundtrack for various family gatherings. Ralph also had a particular fondness for Junior's cheesecakes; a delightful treat he enjoyed sharing.
Ralph was a proud member of the Hershey Italian Lodge and served on the Habitat for Humanity review board in his home area. He exemplified the spirit of a patriotic American, embracing values that resonated deeply within him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Marjorie Lowe, and his two sons, Alex (Elizabeth) Picarelli and Mark Picarelli. He also cherished his grandsons, Owen and Evan Picarelli, who brought immense joy to his life. In addition, Ralph had two step-children, Robert Peck and Christylee Peck and was grandfather to 6 step-grandchildren.
Ralph is predeceased by his loving parents, Gabriel and Concetta Picarelli, his first wife, Justine Picarelli, and his sister Katherine Picarelli, all of whom hold a special place in the hearts of those who gather to remember him.
The family will honor Ralph's memory with services scheduled for March 6, 2026, at Buhrig Funeral and Cremation, LTD. in Mechanicsburg, PA. Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. A reception will take place afterward at Buhrig's Gathering Place from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM, before he is laid to rest in Salem United Brethren Cemetery in Chambersburg at 3:00 PM.
Ralph Anthony Picarelli will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication will continue to inspire and resonate with his family and friends.
