Raymond “Ray” Edward Miller
Raymond “Ray” Edward Miller, age 75, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. Ray was born on Wednesday, November 27, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Raymond H. Miller and Helen Pauline (Wolf) Miller. Ray was the widower of Yvonne S. (Croyle) Miller, whom he married on September 17, 1977, and who lost her battle with cancer on November 22, 2003.
Ray’s survivors include his beloved daughter, Jennifer “Jen” (Miller) Pace and her husband, Alex, of Charleston, SC, and their daughter, Abigail; and his cousin, Cheryl (Miller) Duda of Florida.
Ray graduated from Central Dauphin East High School as part of the class of 1964 and was a proud Vietnam era United States Air Force veteran. He worked as an electrician for Bethlehem Steel in Steelton, served a four year apprenticeship with IBEW Local #143 and ultimately retired from both the Mechanicsburg Navy Base and IBEW Local #143. Ray was a long time member, and former church council member, of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg. He was a member of VFW Post 6704 and American Legion Post 109. Ray will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
All are welcome to join Ray’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with a service beginning at 12:00 p.m. all at Trindle Spring Lutheran Church, 14 State Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050; with Pastor Carolyn Destephano officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in Trindle Spring Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, PA. Cremation was private.
