Retta Jane (Heffleger) Reisinger

Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother -

Retta Jane (Heffleger) Reisinger, age 67, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Eshcol, passed away at home on Thursday, January 27, 2022.  She was born on Sunday, December 19, 1954, in Harrisburg to Daniel Kenneth Heffleger and Sarah Jane (Rupp) Heffleger.  Retta is preceded in death by her sister, Lucinda Graeff.

Retta’s survivors include her husband of 46 years, Stephen “Steve” Paul Reisinger; her two children: Todd Michael Reisinger and wife, Julie, of Mechanicsburg, Lisa Ann Enders and husband, Stephen, of Lititz; her two precious grandsons: Chase and Cole Reisinger; her parents Daniel and Sarah Heffleger of Harrisburg: her sister, Tanna Richards of Unionville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Retta was a 1972 graduate of Central Dauphin East High School.  She was a member of West Shore Evangelical Free Church, 1345 Williams Grove Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA. Prior to moving from Perry County 16 years ago, she attended the Church of the Living Christ of Loysville, PA.  Retta loved watching her grandchildren play baseball.  She was a homemaker, taught Sunday school, and knitted gifts of baby blankets that she gave to friends and the Capital Area Pregnancy Center (Life Choices Clinic).

All are welcome to join Retta’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. all at West Shore Evangelical Free Church, 1345 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Nathan Winters officiating.  Retta’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church immediately following the service.  Private interment will be in Eshcol Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Cremation was private.
