Richard Charles Guether

Richard Charles Guether, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 23, 2024, at age 88. He was a resident of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Richard was born and raised in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York. He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Merchant Marine, all prior to working at Con Edison for 33 years as an Electrician and Planning Analyst. A resident of New Jersey for much of his life, Richard was known for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic and carpentry skills, and his love of the sea.  Richard was a Mason and a member of Huguenot Lodge No. 381, Staten Island, NY.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dolores (née Iwanyshyn); his children, Daria Snyder (Clayton), Diana Borg (Eugene), and Richard, Jr. (Anne); his grandchildren, Landon, Lindsay, Larissa, and Alexandra; his nephew, Eric Guether (Rachel), great nephews, Ryan and Kevin; and sister-in-law Sophie Crews. He was predeceased by his father, Rudolph; mother, Augusta; brother, Ronald and sister-in-law Noreen.

A memorial service for Richard will be held on February 23. Please contact the family for additional information.
