Great Father, Brother & Friend -

Richard “Scott” Kline, 53, of Maumelle, AR , and formerly of Mechanicsburg , died at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.  He was born in Lewistown, on Saturday, May 7, 1960, son of Jackie Lee Kline and Lorretta Jane (McCartle) Hummel.

Scott’s survivors include his loving children, Adam Tyler Kline of Camp Hill, Emily Marie Kline of Maumelle, AR; his siblings, Jackie A. Kline and his wife Lorie of Tokyo, Brian K. Hummel and his wife Michelle of Lewistown, Cathy L. Stank and her husband Chris of Mechanicsburg; his parents, Jackie Kline, Lorretta Hummel; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and his dog Noodle.

Scott attended Central Dauphin High School , graduated from Miramar High School in FL and from HACC. He had worked for the former AMP INC in Harrisburg, and had recently relocated to Arkansas to work for Molex as a Project Engineer in the High Speed Cable Assembly Division.  Scott was a very gifted engineer who owned 10 engineering patents and had several pending patents. He was a talented athlete in high school and excelled in wrestling.  Scott loved building things and was working on a motorized Harley replica cycle. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, and more than anything, spending time with his family. Scott was a unique person who, above all, was a great father, brother, and friend.

All are welcome to join Scott’s family at his Celebration of Life Reception on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. at the First Church of God Community Center , 201 Green Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with celebrant Mary Medkeff-Rose officiating.  Cremation was private.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Humane Society of Harrisburg , 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
