Robert Lee Curll, affectionately known as Bob, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Camp Hill, at the age of 91. Bob was born on Saturday, January 12, 1935, in Norristown, PA, to the late Walter B. Curll and Elnora (Lare) Curll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children: Robert Lee Curll, Jr. and Patricia Ann Curll.
Bob's survivors include his loving wife of 69 years: Elizabeth "Betty" Ann (Strouse) Curll; his daughters Barbara Weaver (Shannon) of Mechanicsburg, and Susan Land of North Pole, Alaska; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Danielle, Renee, Jessica, Amanda, Rick, and Christine. His legacy extends through 16 great-grandchildren: Emily, Steven, Grady, Chloe, Brinley, Bennett, Brystol, Tinsley, Whitley, Blakelyn, Georgie, Jaevon, Casen, Ruth, Cooper, and Teddy; and several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
A proud graduate of Norristown High School’s class of 1952, Bob furthered his education at Temple University before answering the call to serve his country in the United States Air Force. His commitment to service continued through a distinguished career as a Meteorologist for the National Weather Service, where he shared his expertise and passion for weather with those around him. Bob’s life was enriched not only by his professional accomplishments but by his love for gardening. Every year, he found joy and peace tending to his vegetable and flower garden, a quiet sanctuary where nature’s rhythms brought him comfort and inspiration.
A beloved member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bob dedicated his time beyond work and home. He volunteered for the American Cancer Society and was active with the Kiwanis, touching many lives through his generosity and commitment to service. Bob’s life was marked by love, service, and a profound connection to both family and community. His gentle spirit and steadfast presence will be deeply missed but forever treasured by all who knew him.
All are welcome to join Bob’s family at his viewing on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 117 W. Keller Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Marleen Griffith-Stull officiating. Interment will follow the service in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill. Bob’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the church following the interment.
