Robert “Bob” Barry Hassler

Robert “Bob” Barry Hassler, age 74, of Lansdale, and formerly of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022.  Bob was born on Sunday, December 14, 1947, in Chambersburg to Robert “Nick” Eugene Hassler and the late Doris May (Pilgrim) Hassler.  In addition to his mother, Bob is preceded in death by his infant brother, Brian Edward Hassler.

Bob’s survivors include his father, Robert “Nick” Eugene Hassler of Mechanicsburg; his brother, Jeffrey “Jeff” Dean Hassler of Eagle, ID; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from both Lebanon High School and Penn State University.  He enlisted in the United States Navy and served on a carrier ship during the Vietnam War.  Bob retired from Leeds and Northrop, after years of service working as an engineer in the design department.  Bob enjoyed football, and was an avid Penn State football fan.  He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

All are welcome to join Bob’s family at his graveside service on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery, 948 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17201; with Reverend George A. Spangler officiating.  Cremation was private.
