Ronald "Ron" Edward Stine, age 66, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Altoona, passed away at home on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Ron was born on Sunday, February 7, 1960, in Altoona to the late Guyer Taft Stine and Elizabeth Ellen (Diggins) Stine. In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his five siblings: Kay, Randy, Harry, Ellen, and Richard.
Ron’s survivors include his loving wife, Christine "Cricket" Louise Allen; his three children: Daniel "Dan" Stine, David Stine, and Dean Stine, all of Mechanicsburg; his two stepsons: Michael Allen and wife, Kaleena, of Altoona and Mason Allen and wife, Amanda, of Altoona; his three grandchildren: Ronan, Akira, and Kisa; his two siblings: John Stine and Colleen Stine; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Tytus.
Ron will be dearly missed by Bobby Rahal Lexus, for whom he worked for many years and received many awards. He also loved fishing and would cast his line wherever; he and Cricket visited. Spending time with his family was also a priority of Ron's; and he enjoyed every minute he spent with them, whether at the beach or spending quiet moments at home. Ron will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to have known him.
All are welcome to join Ron’s family at his celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 3:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation); with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating. Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.
