Samuel Harrison Gipe, Jr., age 62, of Mechanicsburg, died on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. passed away on April 14, 2026, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Born on June 7, 1963, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Samuel Harrison Gipe, Sr. and Patricia Lee (Bordner) Gipe. In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his brothers: Michael Gipe, Sr. and Jeffrey Gipe, whose memories remain a silent yet profound influence in the tapestry of his life.
A lifelong resident of the region, Sam took pride in his roots, which is reflected in his early academic journey. He graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School as a proud member of the Class of 1982, a milestone that laid the foundation for his steadfast work ethic. Professionally, Sam channeled his dedication into his role at Advanced Coating Technologies, where he served as a parts spec specialist laborer. His colleagues will remember him as a meticulous and loyal presence, an individual who approached each task with unwavering focus and reliability.
Beyond the professional realm, Sam’s passions vividly colored his life. An avid racing enthusiast, he was a familiar figure in the pits of local dirt tracks, where weekends were spent assisting with his father’s race car—a labor of love that blended family ties with his thrill-seeking spirit.
